The game is still beautiful, the developers appear motivated and progression feels exciting, albeit a bit unimaginative. I feel like this can be partially fixed by providing meaningful buffs based on the number of heroes of each “class” deployed (archer, warrior, wizard, whatever) or some other commonality, which would encourage mixing and matching of heroes, make the non S/A tier heroes less useless, and give this game a little depth.I’d still recommend this game to anyone interested. Even in the Portal which debuffs your types of damage or mitigation is irrelevant optimizing for the challenge might push you forward one level, but the reward is so small compared to just maintaining and waiting for your other stats to get there. The combination of heroes does not matter, because they don’t interact except in the minor debuffs on enemy monsters. The monetization is mostly ads that feel non-intrusive, the real world transaction shop is so inefficient it prices out everyone but whales, and they give you an option to opt out of all ads with a one time purchase, which I would recommend for anyone enjoying this game.That said, this game suffers from a big problem: there aren’t any meaningful decisions being made in team composition.Essentially, you just want to put out your best heroes at all times to maximize damage out and minimize damage in. Everything in this game looks great and feels great to play.
